My name is Lynell Cavner and I am a Registered Bowen Therapist. My background has consisted mostly of Human Resources work; helping people understand policies of their workplace and their benefits. My personality leads me to want to "fix" what is broken rather than just to soothe; therefore the transition from Human Resources to a healing modality has been a welcomed and easy transition for me.
I was also inspired by someone very special....my Mom, Jean Ann Schafer. She passed away November 5, 2001, but a few weeks before she died, I was massaging her feet and she sat up only to say "Lynell, you need to do something with your hands, you have your father's hands." I didn't know what she meant then, but after Mom left this world, my family and I moved to Prescott and the doors of life started to open to a new world healing. I believe my Mom led me to this chapter and is still guiding me in hopes that others may be helped.
Human bodywork has always intrigued me....especially the idea of helping the body heal itself. Looking for something that not only relaxes the body, but heals it at the same time was an important goal for me. It is so exciting to experience the healing power of the human body in others...to see my clients lives change for the better and to see them smile instead of cringe in pain! It is amazing work and I thank the Good Lord for granting me with a gift of touch.
Healing Elements practices the original Bowen Technique developed by Mr. Tom Bowen of Australia. This modality of healing has been proven in many ways to help the body heal itself. This technique is a gentle form of body work in which very subtle moves performed over the muscles and connective tissue send messages deep into the body, retrieving cellular memory of a preferred, relaxed balanced way of well-being. Results can be remarkable, even from the first session; often only a few sessions are needed to correct the presenting problem.
The technique addresses not only the musculoskeletal framework, but also the fascia, nerves and internal organs. The body's integrated response improves circulation and lymphatic drainage and aids in the assimilation of nutrients and elimination of toxins.
Life is too short to live in pain, so I hope that you will give us the opportunity to help your body heal itself.
